Ophelia (to self in wings) - this is one of those embarrassing moments when you get your cue but in the wrong act. Do I go on, or don't I? That is the question. ( leans toward Gertrude in a stage whisper) - Act IV, Gertrude. Four.
Enter OPHELIA, extremely distracted (and now, we know why. Poor girl wasn't sure if she was playing in a deleted scene or a real one.
Ophelia (in the wings): It's my cue now? Oh God, I've forgotten my lines again. Where are my flowers? No this isn't the flower scene. Somebody quick! My first line, what is it? Come on! "Enters OPHELIA, distracted"? No, that's my stage direction. I think I'm going to be sick.
(gets shove from the back and )
Enters OPHELIA, distracted
Gertrude (for the fifth time): How now, Ophelia!
OPHELIA (clears her throat): How should I know, I... no...he from another...by the light of the silvery moon... no, no, no... And his sandal shoon. (wandering across the stage: 'mustn't be sick, mustn't be sick...)

Mum, you are correct, however...she does sing a little song about being "larded all with sweet flowers" in this scene, so I'm letting it stand.
What fun have I stumbled upon?
I'm so glad that you visited my blog and that I have made it here. I'll have to start Hamlet at the beginning with you. It's very great.
